A. W. and Hilda Singer Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with the current institutional policies;
  • Must be pursuing a degree in a field of science (biology, chemistry, physics, and earth sciences) in the College of Arts and Sciences;
  • Must be a U. S. citizen.
  • Priority should be given to the applicant exhibiting the greatest financial need.
  • Initial annual award consideration will be made to qualified applicants who are members of the Jewish faith. If no member of the Jewish faith is found, the award will be presented to any other qualified applicant.
The scholarship award will be presented for a one year period. Previous recipients are encouraged to reapply annually.

Agriculture Foundation Freshman Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 

  • Must be an Agriculture major; 
  • Financial need may be considered.

Agriscience Academic Bowl Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must major in Agriculture.
  • Will be awarded to the winners and 2nd place teams of the recruiting contest held every year.
  • The scholarship is available for the year following graduation.

Albert H. Bryan, Jr. Engineering Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an entering freshman;
  • Must major in engineering;
  • Must have a minimum score of 22 on the Math section and composite ACT or equivalent minimum SAT of 1100;
  • Must be a resident of one of the following Upper Cumberland Counties: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, White.
  • Must have demonstrated financial need to cover all basic university educational and living expenses.
  • If funds are available this scholarship can be renewed and/or extended to upper-class student and transfer students what are in good standing with current instutional policies and have participated in a professional student engineering society.

Algood and Elizabeth Carlen Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Preference shall be given to students majoring in physics.
  • If qualified physics students are not available, preference shall be given to mathematics majors.
  • If there are no qualified students in either major, the dean of the College of Arts and Sciences will make the selection based upon where the scholarship is needed.
  • The award may be renewed if the student continues to meet the established criteria and maintain a 2.5 GPA.



Allan Murphy Memorial Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);
  • Must have a minimum high school average of “B”, a community college minimum GPA of 3.50 or a minimum TTU GPA of 3.20 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Must be majoring in the College of Business and should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
  • Financial need will only be considered when deciding between otherwise equal candidates.

Allen A. McCampbell Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current business student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);
  • Must have a minimum high school average of “B”, a community college minimum GPA of 3.50 or a minimum TTU GPA of 3.20 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must be a human ecology major from one of the following Upper Cumberland counties: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, White. Students must reapply each year to be considered for future annual awards.


Alvah and Bessie Bell Highlands Memorial Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current female student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a business major at Tennessee Technological University;
  • Must be a student from Putnam, Jackson, White, or Overton counties.



Alvin W. Boyd Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must major in Pre-Pharmacy.

American Legion Boys State Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Be selected as Governor of Boys State in the summer prior to enrollment. This scholarship is renewable for three additional years as long as the recipient has an overall GPA of 3.25 by the end of their fifth semester at Tech and maintains continuous full-time undergraduate enrollment.

American Legion Girls State Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Be selected as Governor of Girls State in the summer prior to enrollment. This scholarship is renewable for three additional years as long as the recipient has an overall GPA of 3.25 by the end of their fifth semester at Tech and maintains continuous full-time undergraduate enrollment.

Anderson-Elkins Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a current or prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of six hours of classes in the School of Interdisciplinary Studies and Extended Education;
  • Must be a resident of the Upper Cumberland, and preference shall be given to a graduate of Jackson County High School;
  • Must have achieved a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00 (applies to both entering freshmen and transfer students);
  • Must have been involved in community service as evidenced by information on the university scholarship application form;
  • Must demonstrate financial need;
  • May retain the scholarship through graduation provided he/she maintains a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.00;
  • Preference may be given to a first-generation college student, as defined by the university



Angelo and Jennette Volpe Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an incoming freshman who meets all entrance requirements;
  • Must be a full-time student majoring in Arts and Sciences,
  • Must have a financial need and qualify for financial aid.

This scholarship is non-renewable.




Anna Grace Bandy Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be pursuing a major in the College of Education;
  • Must be a senior at White County High School.
  • In the event that no student at White County High School qualifies, the award may be presented to a student from Monterey High School.



Anna Scott Brown Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must have been admitted to upper-division courses in nursing (i.e. incoming junior)
  • Preference shall be given to students from White County.
  • Financial need and academic record in lower-division nursing courses will be considered.

Anne Erhard Wright Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must major in Human Ecology.


Annie J. Goodman Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a member in good standing of the Delta Gamma Sorority;
  • First preference will be given to a Delta Gamma majoring in Journalism. 
This scholarship is not renewable. 


Annie Mae Grant and Vivian G.B. Fraser Nursing Endowed Scholarship

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to be considered to receive a scholarship:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing with current institutional policies;
  • Must be an entering freshman majoring in nursing;
  • Must demonstrate financial need.
This scholarship may retained for up to four years provided the recipient continues to make satisfactory progress toward a degree in nursing.


Arliss and Mary Etta Roaden Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be an entering freshman;
  • Must be a certified National Merit Finalist.
  • Financial aid may be considered, but is not a requirement.
  • This scholarship is renewable for up to four (4) years provided the recipient maintains a minimum 3.25 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
This scholarship is limited to eight (8) academic semesters and is not available for summer semesters. For more information, contact the Scholarship Office at scholarships@tntech.edu.


Army ROTC Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a 4-year or 3-year advanced designee scholarship winner or deemed qualified by a Professor of Military Science;
  • Must demonstrate financial need.
  • This scholarship award is for two semesters only and is not renewable.

Arville and Imogene Patrick Engineering Endowed Scholarship

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current engineering student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must have attended his/her senior year of high school in Knox County, Tennessee;
  • Must be the student who has the highest math score on his/her ACT exam.
  • This scholarship may be retained for four years provided he/she maintains a minimum 2.5 grade point average and funds are available.



Aspire Scholarship for Women

To be considered for this scholarship, a student must meet the following requirements:
  • Must be a prospective freshman student in good standing with current institutional policies.
  • Must be a female student who will be enrolled full-time in undergraduate studies at the University.
  • Must be a graduate of a Tennessee high school with a minimum high school GPA of 3.0 and a 25 or higher composite ACT score.
  • Must be a naturalized citizen of the US.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.



Avo Anderson Memorial Business Endowed Scholarship-Graduate

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a United States citizen from the State of Tennessee;
  • Must be a full-time student;
  • Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.50.
This scholarship may be retained for up to 4 years (8 semesters) if recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale and continues to meet the above criteria.


Avo Anderson Memorial Endowed Business Scholarship - Undergraduate

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a United States citizen from the State of Tennessee;
  • Must be a full-time student;
  • Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.50.
This scholarship may be retained for up to 4 years (8 semesters) if recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale and continues to meet the above criteria.


Avo Anderson Memorial Endowed Education Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a United States citizen from the State of Tennessee;
  • Must be a full-time student;
  • Must maintain a minimum overall GPA of 2.50.

This scholarship may be renewed for up to 3 additional years (6 semesters) if recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2.50 on a 4.00 scale and continues to meet the above criteria.




Bacchanal Endowed Art Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • A portfolio of images representing the studio work of the applicant must be submitted
  • A written statement, appropriate to the work of the student and the BFA concentration of the student, must be submitted.

Barge, Waggoner, Sumner & Cannon/TTU College of Engineering Alumni Endowed Scholarship for Incoming Students

The initial scholarship each year will be awarded under the Engineering Scholarship Awards Program to an entering freshman or transfer student who plans to study engineering. Additional scholarships, funds permitting, will be awarded by the College of Engineering's Scholarship Committee according to the college's greatest current needs. Priority should be given to entering freshmen or community/junior college transferees from the Greater Nashville area, especially those who express an interest in consulting engineering; however, these are not mandatory criteria. Ben and Serafina Volpe Class of 1992 Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Interested students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (www.fafsa.ed.gov/) each year to be considered, even though need may not be a factor in the awarding process.



Ben Clark Memorial Endowed Scholarship

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Ben Clark Memorial Scholarship Endowment:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • GPA requirement is a minimum of 2.5.
  • Preference goes to those interested or involved with Greek affiliations; first preference is Phi Gamma Delta (FIJI) and/or Alpha Delta Pi, then open to other Greek affiliations.
  • Preference given to a person affected by cancer, either personally or within the immediate family to be determined by an optional essay question on the scholarship application.
  • Preference given to someone who volunteers for any cancer society or affiliation.
  • Preference for someone who exhibits financial need.
  • Scholarship is renewable.



Betty Sue Huddleston Allen Endowed Scholarship in History

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must major in history;
  • Must have attended a high school within the state of Tennessee. 
The scholarship is renewable provided the student meets the above criteria.


Bill and Wanda Seiler Memorial Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be an upper- or lower- division nursing major;
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.00. 
  • First preference should be given to current and former employees of Heritage Pointe Senior Living in Cookeville, TN. 
  • Second preference should be given to the dependents of current and former empoyees of Heritage Pointe Senior Living in Cookeville, TN. 
The scholarship may be renewed as long as the student continues to meet the above criteria.


Bob and Gloria Bell Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must have at least a 3.00 grade point average (high school or university).
  • The scholarship is renewable to student(s) who continue to meet the criteria.



Bob Lee, Lorelle, and David H. Maddux Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a full-time entering freshman, transfer, or current student at Tennessee Technological University, preferably from the Upper Cumberland Region (counties include: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, Dekalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, and White);
  • Should have a GPA of 3.00 or higher from an accredited high school and an ACT of 19 or higher; or a GPA of 3.20 or higher on a 4.00 scale from an accredited Tennessee community college, senior college, or Tennessee Technological University;
  • Should have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups and organizations;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in a field in which TTU offers a degree.
  • It is desirable, but not a mandatory guideline, that the recipient be employed by the University as a work-study recipient or have other part-time employment.
  • Financial need should be considered when two or more candidates are judged to be equal in other qualifications.
  • The changing of majors will not interrupt this scholarship support provided other criteria continue to be met.

The scholarship may be renewed each year the student is enrolled at TTU for up to eight (8) semesters, or equivalent, provided the student maintains a grade point average of 3.00.

Bob Oglesby Endowed Scholarship (Chemistry)

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a student with good academic potential with a GPA of 2.00 to 3.00;
  • Must be pursuing a degree in chemistry.

Bob Oglesby Endowed Scholarship (Engineering)

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a student with good academic potential with a grade point average of 2.00 to 3.00;
  • Must be pursuing a degree in engineering.

Bonner Family Endowment - Bruce William Bonner Scholarship

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive the Bruce William Bonner Scholarship:

  • Must be a current student in the Department of Decision Sciences and Management with an emphasis in Management Information Systems (now caled Business and Information Technology);
  • Must be in good standing with the University in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must demonstrate financial need;
  • Must be a US citizen.

Academic performance may be used as needed in order to make a selection.




Bonnie Lamb Lee CRMC Volunteer Endowed Scholarship

In order to be considered for this scholarship, the student:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student or a graduate student taking a minimum of six hours enrolled in the School of Nursing at TTU;
  • Must be an employee of Cookeville Regional Medical Center at the time of application for the scholarship and have been employed for a minimum of 12 months;
  • Must demonstrate financial need.
May retain the scholarship for a maximum of 4 undergraduate academic years or a maximum of 2 and 1/2 years for graduate study provided the recipient continues to make satisfactory progress toward degree completion.


Brad Sells and Dr. Pat Sells Endowed Scholarship for Fine Art

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must have a minimum of a 2.80 GPA;
  • Must apply and qualify for financial aid.
  • The scholarship will be awarded to a Bachelor of Fine Arts student in even years and an Exercise Science student in odd years.
    • In even years: Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in wood at the Appalachian Center for Craft at TTU.
    • In odd years: Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Exercise Science, Physical Education and Wellness.
  • Preference will be given to a prospective or current player, in good standing, with the Tennessee Tech University Rugby Football Club and/or any local or national governing body of Rugby.

The scholarship may be renewed if funding is available and recipient(s) meet preceding criteria.




Brad Sells and Dr. Pat Sells Scholarship for Exercise Science

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must have a minimum of a 2.80 GPA;
  • Must apply and qualify for financial aid.
  • The scholarship will be awarded to a Bachelor of Fine Arts student in even years and an Exercise Science student in odd years.
    • In even years: Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree with a concentration in wood at the Appalachian Center for Craft at TTU.

Brenda Norman Albright Endowed Scholarship

To be considered for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be in good standing in accordance with current institutional policy;
  • Must be an incoming freshman graduating from Monterey High School in Monterey, TN. (If a Monterey High School student is not available, the initial scholarship shall be awarded within the additional criteria.)
  • For any second possible scholarship, the recipient must be an incoming freshman from Williamson County in Tennessee.
  • Any additional scholarships shall be awarded with preference given to applicants from the Upper Cumberland Region of Tennessee (the counties of Macon, Clay, Pickett, Smith, Jackson, Overton, Fentress, Putnam, White, DeKalb, Cannon, Warren, Van Buren, and Cumberland).

Building a Foundation for the Future Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);
  • Must have a minimum high school average of “B”, a community college minimum GPA of 3.50 or a minimum TTU GPA of 3.20 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
  • Financial need will only be considered when deciding between otherwise equal candidates.
  • A student majoring in World Cultures and Business in the College of Arts and Sciences may be considered for this scholarship.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a current or prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must attend TTU;
  • Must be recommended by the Special Operations Warrior Foundation;
  • Must be an active duty or retired Special Operations service member or the dependent of an active or retired Special Operations service member.



Carlene Hall Memorial Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Must have demonstrated academic promise through the maintenance of not less than a "B" average in high school if an entering freshman or a "B" average in college if the candidate has completed at least one term of college-level studies.
  • Must have demonstrated financial need.
  • Must have a disability. All types of disability will be considered with special consideration given to those who are physically challenged with specific preference given to those with some form of paralysis or other similar impairment.
  • A recipient may continue to receive this scholarship if they maintain a "B" average and if they continue to have financial need. If they graduate with a "B" average and wish to pursue a Master's degree at Tennessee Tech, assistance from this scholarship may continue.



Carroll Viera Appreciation Endowed Scholarship

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship:
  • Must be a current or prospective full-time student in good standing in accordance with current instutuional polices;
  • Must be an international student or a student from an underserved population;
  • Must have demonstrated a desire to master the English language and improve communication skills;
  • Must use the scholarship to advance hs/her language abilities, i.e additional courses, independent study, tutor assistance, etc.

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive an award:
  • Must be an entering freshman;
  • Must have financial need;
  • Must live in the Upper Cumberland region of Middle Tennessee (the 14-county area);
  • Must be a full time student pursuing a degree in Education;
  • Must maintain a minimum 3.00 overall GPA.
Scholarships may be renewed if the recipient maintains a minimum 3.00 overall grade point average.


Clarence Phillips Medical Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded to a student who meets the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a graduate of Jackson County High School in Gainesboro, Tennessee;
  • Must be pre-medicine or nursing (undergraduate or graduate) major.
Priority shall be given to pre-medicine students. Both undergraduate and graduate nursing students are eligible; however, priority shall be given to undergraduate students. Original recipients may, but do not automatically qualify to, retain the scholarship for successive years.

Coca-Cola First Generation Endowed Scholarship for Incoming Students

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • May be either an in-state or out-of-state resident;
  • Must have a 3.00 high school GPA;
  • Must be a first generation college student;
  • May be any major;
  • Must have a completed need analysis on file in the Office of Financial Aid by March 1 of the year before the academic year that he/she first receives the award;
  • Must maintain a 2.50 cumulative GPA at the end of each academic year to continue to receive the scholarship. If the recipient's annual QPA falls below the 2.50 requirement, the student will be given one semester of probation to bring his or her GPA up to the minimum. If this 2.50 minimum is not met, then the scholarship may be revoked. Any recipient who successfully raises his or her QPA up to the 2.50 minimum during this probation period may be granted a one semester extension on his or her scholarship term.

No awards will be given during the summer semester. Awards made to incoming freshmen will be for 8 semesters, present freshmen will be for 6 semesters, present sophomores will be for 4 semesters, and present juniors will be for 2 semesters, based on continuing eligibility. The scholarship may be renewed for up to 2 additional semesters so long as all criteria are met and the renewal is recommended by the mentoring office. First generation student is defined as a student residing in a home where neither parent completed a baccalaureate degree or, in the case of a student who resides in a single-parent home, that parent did not complete a baccalaureate degree.

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through The Dr. June Peters Almy Scholarship Endowment:

Dr. Krishna Kumar Endowed Scholarship in Physics

To be considered for this scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria: Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;

  • Must be an incoming physics freshman (if no freshman is available, may be a currently enrolled physics major);
  • Must have demonstrated high academic performance as shown through the student's official high school transcript with a 3.50 GPA or higher, and/or through his/her score on the ACT exam with a 25 or higher (a comparable SAT score is also acceptable).
  • The scholarship will be awarded annually.

If no incoming freshman is available, the scholarship may be renewed. The selection committee shall consist of the faculty members of the department of physics.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a United States citizen;
  • Must have a minimum 3.00 GPA;
  • Must show financial need. 
  • Preference will be given to a student majoring in Earth Sciences. 
  • Second preference will be given to a student majoring in one of the physical sciences (Biology, Wildlife & Fisheries Science, Chemistry, Pre-Professional programs, or Physics). 
  • Preference will be given to a student who is a veteran. 
  • Preference will be given to a full-time student.
  • If two applying students are otherwise equal, the one with the greater need should be deemed the recipient. 
The existing recipient may continue to reapply to be reviewed with other applicants.


Dr. Wayne Pegram Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be an incoming freshman in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies, majoring in Instrumental/General Music Licensure (MUIN);

  • Preference shall be given to Boy Scouts who are residents of the Upper Cumberland District of the Middle Tennessee Council of The Boy Scouts of America or its descendant.

Earl Warren and William McMillan Leech, Jr. Memorial Scholarship

To be considered for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current TTU student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be, or have been, a graduating senior at Creek Wood High School, Charlotte, Tennessee.

If no eligible student from CWHS is available, the scholarship may be awarded to a student from any high school within Dickson County; Will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, community service, leadership and need as determined by a three person Selection Committee. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);

  • Must be a high school graduate from a school within the previously mentioned counties;
  • Must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.40 and a minimum ACT score of 21;
  • Must have financial need as demonstrated through the Financial Aid Office of the University.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a resident of, and graduate of a high school within, one of the following Upper Cumberland counties: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, White;
  • Must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.40;
  • Must have a minimum ACT score of 21, or equivalent SAT of 1060;
  • Must demonstrate financial need through the Financial Aid Office of the University.



Elinor P. Ross Phi Delta Kappa Scholarship Endowment

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a current graduate student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be pursuing a major in the College of Education;
  • Must be doing superior work in the field of education and meet selection criteria as defined by Phi Delta Kappa.

This scholarship is not renewable and will be awarded annually.




Elizabeth Murphy Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a female; must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.50.
  • Preference shall be given to those demonstrating financial need.
  • Interested students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (www.fafsa.ed.gov) each year to be considered, even though need may not be a factor in the awarding process.



Engineering Development Friends Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must major in engineering; must have a minimum score of 23 on the Math section and Composite ACT or equivalent minimum SAT of 1130;
  • Must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.35 if an entering freshman;
  • Must have a minimum college GPA of 2.50 if a transfer student.

Students must be living in on-campus housing (including Tech Village) to receive this award. A student may only receive one Reidence Hall grant or award from Tennessee Tech in a given semester.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current undergraduate student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a high school graduate from Bledsoe, Clay, Cumberland, Fentress, Grundy, Jackson, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Rhea, or Van Buren County, or from Elizabethton High School in Elizabethton or Science Hill High School in Johnson City;
  • Must meet College of Business Board of Trustees scholarship requirements. (Preferences may be given to students who hold or have held the Office of President of Student Body or Senior Class President).

Everett G. and Emma B. Roettger Distinguished Undergraduate Endowed Scholarship and Research Award

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a full member of the Honors Program in good standing with the university at the time of the nomination and selection;
  • Must demonstrate that he or she is on track to graduate in cursu honorum to be eligible to be nominated and selected for the award;
  • Must expect to graduate in cursu honorum;
  • Must have been engaged in research or study completed while taking independent Honors study or thesis credit;
  • A student may receive no more than one award.



Everett G. Warren Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be an entering freshman or existing recipient in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a full-time business student (enrolled for 12 hours or more);
  • Must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.50 or equivalent and maintain a minimum 2.50 GPA for renewal consideration;
  • Must have exhibited leadership skills in school and community activities;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
  • Preference shall be given to applicants from the Greater Chattanooga Area (Hamilton, Bradley, Rhea, Marion, Sequatchie, Bledsoe, and Meigs Counties).
  • Financial need will be a primary consideration.

Fitzpatrick Family Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be awarded to students in the Thirteenth Judicial District comprised of Putnam, Overton, White, DeKalb, Clay, Pickett, and Cumberland Counties, with first priority going to a student in Putnam County.
  • Scholarships will be awarded by the College of Business Board of Trustees to full-time undergraduate students (enrolled for 12 or more hours).
  • The applicant should have a grade point average of 3.50 or higher from an accredited high school or community college, or a TTU QPA of 3.20 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Applicants should have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.
  • There should be a clear objective toward a career in business and business-related professions.
  • Financial need will only be a factor in deciding between otherwise equal candidates.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Floyd Null Scholarship Endowment:
  • Must be a prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be an entering freshman;
  • Must be a graduate of White County High School majoring in Business Administration (first priority shall be accounting.)



Foreign Language Faculty and Alumni Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be enrolled at TTU and majoring in a foreign language (German, French, Spanish);
  • Must have and maintain a 3.00 GPA.
  • Financial need may be considered, but is not a major factor.
  • This scholarship may be renewable.

Number and amount of scholarship(s) awarded annually will be determined by the faculty of the Department of Foreign Languages and will depend on funds available.




Frances and Lionel Larsen Endowed Engineering Scholarship

In order to be eligible for the scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current Civil Engineering student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must demonstrate financial need;
  • Must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.00;
  • Must be involved in university, community, or church activity outside the classroom.
The recipient may retain the scholarship for a maximum of four years provided they reapply and meet the minimum requirements.


Frances Johnson Palk Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must major in business;
  • Must have minimum cumulative and major GPA of 3.20;
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or legally authorized to work in the U.S. on a permanent and unlimited basis;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.
  • Financial need will only be considered when deciding between otherwise equal candidates.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have an ACT Math score and ACT composite of 23 or equivalent SAT score of 1130
  • Must submit two (2) letters or recommendation



Frederick L. Culp Endowed Scholarship in Physics

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must be an incoming physics freshman; must have demonstrated high academic performance as shown through a student’s official high school transcript and through his/her scores on either the ACT or SAT examination; must have demonstrated abilities in various areas related to physics; must have letters of recommendation from three persons not related to the applicant. In the event that no incoming freshmen qualify, the scholarship may be awarded to a sophomore, junior, or senior physics major. G. Joseph Fleming Memorial Scholarship in Engineering

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must, if upperclassman, have an overall minimum GPA of 3.00

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a minimum high school average of “B”, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
Recipient may retain this scholarship for up to four (4) years if he/she continues to meet all criteria.

Geary-Bailey 4-H Extension Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be a current or prospective full-time student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must be majoring in Human Ecology; must have an overall GPA of 2.70 for sophomore, junior, or senior; must have been a junior or senior 4-H Club member; must be from the old Extension Districts III and IV, with preference given to students from Grundy and Van Buren Counties. The counties in the two districts include Bledsoe, Bradley, Cannon, Clay, Coffee, Cumberland, DeKalb, Franklin, Fentress, Grundy, Hamilton, Jackson, Macon, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Rhea, Scott, Sequatchie, Smith, Trousdale, Warren, White, and Van Buren. The School of Human Ecology Scholarship Committee will be responsible for selecting the scholarship recipient on an annual basis. Recipients may be eligible to receive the scholarship for up to 4 years. The endowment's creation is intended to encourage students, who were active in their county's 4-H clubs, to continue their interests at the college level.


George Latimer Polk and Lillian Johnson Polk Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Financial need will be considered, but is not a requirement.
  • Citizenship, initiative, professional interest, and participation in extracurricular activities will also be considered.
  • Interested students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (www.fafsa.ed.gov) each year to be considered, even though need may not be a factor in the awarding process.



George W. and Esther S. Hofert Endowed Engineering Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current engineering student with United States citizenship in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.



GFWC Cookeville Junior Woman's Club Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an undergraduate student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a female who graduated from a high school in the Upper Cumberland Region;
  • Must have a minimum 2.50 GPA.
  • Preference will be given to non-traditional students who have demonstrated a financial need.



Gladys Stringfield Owen Scholarship Endowment

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must demonstrate good character and citizenship through participation in school and community activities; must have chosen nursing as a career and be classified as a nursing major while attending TTU. All class levels are eligible for this scholarship, including entering freshmen and registered nurses. Applicants who have financial need will be given preference among those who meet all other criteria. All other award criteria as may be appropriate at any given time, such as class rank, grade average, test scores, course requirements and hours completed, will be at the discretion of the College of Nursing and/or the School’s Scholarship Committee. Nursing Scholarships: To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be majoring in Nursing with an expressed interest in a career within the field.
  • Preference shall be given to male students graduating from a high school within Cumberland County, TN.

Math Scholarships: To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be majoring in either secondary education-math or mathematics. In either case, the recipient must express an interest in a career of teaching mathematics.
  • Preference shall be given to male students graduating from a high school within Cumberland County, TN.
Each scholarship may be renewable.

Golden Opportunity Grant (Tier 3) (55 Academic Service Hours)

To be considered for this grant, students must meet the following criteria:  Must be an incoming freshman Tennessee resident who just graduated from high school; must have a minimum 23 ACT and a 3.25 high school GPA.  Criteria used for awarding include, but are not limited to, financial need, grade point averate, ACT score, community-based activities, and demonstrated leadership ability.

The scholarship is renewable for three additional years as long as the student has a 3.00 overall GPA by the end of their fifth semester at Tech, completes 55 hours of academic service each semester, and maintains continuous full-time undergraduate enrollment. A limited number of these scholarships will be awarded.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a full-time business student (enrolled for 12 or more hours), who intends to major in accounting;
  • Must have a minimum high school GPA of 3.00 or equivalent at the time of application;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student through active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.
  • First preference shall be given to incoming freshmen from Bledsoe County High School.
  • Second preference will be given to an incoming freshman from the Greater Chattanooga area (Hamilton, Bradley, Rhea, Marion, Sequatchie, and Meigs Counties).
  • Third preference shall be given to any TTU accounting student from Tennessee.

Greer Endowed Education Scholarship

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Greer Education Scholarship Endowment:
  • Must be a prospective or current student, majoring in Education, in good standing in accordance with current institution policies;
  • Must be a first generation college student. That is, neither parent completed a baccalaureate degree or in the case of a student who resides in a single-parent home, that parent did not complete a baccalaureate degree.
Financial need may be considered but is not required.


H. S. and Vivian Barnes Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be an entering freshman from a Tennessee high school;
  • Must be a Valedictorian.
  • The scholarship may be awarded to a Salutatorian if no Valedictorian qualifies.
  • If multiple students qualify, financial need will be used to determine the recipient.
  • This scholarship is renewable for up to seven (7) semesters provided the recipient continues to meet the above criteria.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an entering freshman enrolled full-time and majoring in the College of Arts and Sciences;
  • Must be a resident of Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, White, Bledsoe, Grundy, Marion or Sequatchie county;
  • Must have a minimum 3.00 GPA.

This scholarship may be renewed for three additional years if the student maintains a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA.

Applicants are not eligible for this scholarship if any member of their immediate family (father, mother, sibling) has earned a college degree.




Hazel Wheeler Memorial Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a freshman, enrolled full-time, and pursuing a degree in education;
  • Must be a graduate of a Fentress County High School;
  • Must be recommended by his/her respective high school.

Headrick Pre-Health Sciences Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be enrolled in a pre-professional human health sciences program.
  • Within the eligible programs, priority shall be given to pre-doctoral level programs that include pre-medicine, pre-dentistry, pre-pharmacy, and pre-optometry.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 
  • Must be a prospective or current music major piano student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies. 
Prime consideration in selecting the recipient shall be given to the individual's outstanding performance ability and talent.  Neither financial need nor academic achievement is to be considered in making this award; its use as a recruitment tool is encouraged.  The scholarship cannot be renewed; an individual can only receive it once.

Honors Academic Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be accepted as a full member of the Honors Program;
  • Must be classified as an out-of-state resident according to TTU definition;
  • Must have a minimum ACT score of 26 or an equivalent SAT score;
  • Must have a high school GPA of 3.50.
  • Students will remain eligible for scholarship renewal by maintaining a cumulative GPA of 3.50, maintaining full-time enrollment at Tech, continuing full membership in the Honors Program, and continuing fulfillment of scholarship service.

This award waives the cost of out-of-state tuition.

Horace M. Jeffers Memorial Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current full-time student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies and must be making satisfactory progress toward completing degree requirements;
  • Must be a native of Scott County;
  • Must have attended for four years and be a graduate of the Oneida City Schools;
  • Must meet TTU’s usual and customary entrance requirements;
  • Must be certified eligible for financial aid by the Financial Aid Office.
  • Priority will be given to those individuals with family incomes of $25,000 or less.
The award will include funding for fees, books, housing, and food with any excess being paid to the recipient for personal expenses. A freshman recipient shall continue to receive the annual scholarship through the year of graduation provided he/she continues to meet the criteria.

Horace M. Jeffers Scholars Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current full-time student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must have resided in Scott County, TN for five years continuously prior to high school graduation;
  • Must have applied for financial aid from Tennessee Tech and completed the undergraduate application for scholarships;
  • Must have attended for four years and be a graduate of the Oneida City Schools;
  • Must demonstrate financial need as determined by the FAFSA. 

The scholarship will be in the amount of $4,000 per year and may be continued up to four years (fall and spring semesters only) if the recipient meets the following minimum academic standards:  

  • Minimum cumulative GPA
    • 1st Semester:  1.25;
    • First Year:  2.25;
    • Second Year:  2.50;
    • Third Year:  2.75.

Institutional Wholesale Annual Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);
  • Must have a minimum high school average of “B”, a community college minimum GPA of 3.50 or a minimum TTU GPA of 3.20 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
  • Financial need will only be considered when deciding between otherwise equal candidates.

International Legacy Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Be admitted to TTU as a full-time, degree-seeking student; have or plan to have an F-1 or J-1 student visa; have a minimum grade point average of 3.0; submit at least two letters of recommendation; be an international high school graduate whose parent, grand-parent, step-parent, or spouse graduated from TTU. This scholarship is awarded annually in the amount of $1,000 and is renewable for 4 years. It may not be combined with other international scholarships. It may be applied to the summer semester. The student must maintain 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. A one-time, one-semester probationary period will be granted if the student does not maintain the 3.0 cumulative grade point average. If, at the end of the probationary period, these conditions are not met, the student will lose the scholarship. Completed applications, including letters of recommendation, must be submitted by the following dates: fall semester deadline - no later than June 1st; spring semester deadline - no later than October 1st. Students are encouraged to submit scholarship applications as soon as they are admitted to TTU. An application cannot be reviewed until the applicant is admitted to the university. Applications received after the deadline will not be reviewed. The following students are NOT eligible for this scholarship: Current students and students pursuing a second TTU bachelor's degree; students receiving a scholarship/sponsorship that exceeds TTU's out-of-state tuition; students participating in 2+2 programs in which out-of-state tuition is already waived.




International Multinational Enhancement Service Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Be admitted to TTU as a full-time, degree-seeking student; have or plan to have an F-1 or J-1 student visa; have a minimum 3.0 GPA; submit at least two letters of recommendation; be from Southeast Asia, East Asia, Europe, South America, Africa, Canada, Mexico, Australia, New Zealand, and Oceania. This $2,000 scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years and can be applied to the summer semester. The student must maintain 12 credit hours each semester with a 3.0 cumulative GPA. There is also a 25 hour service component. The service component will require the students to serve as a campus ambassador for new and incoming students during the I-SOAR Week of Welcome. Other areas the service component can be beneficial to TTU and the Cookeville area include the Boy Scouts Global Citizen program, Windows on the World, workshops with local elementary, middle, and high school programs. Some students may be asked to provide marketing assistance with the Office of International Education to assist in attracting future applicants to TTU and/or to develop blogs to represent their day to day lives in Cookeville and at TTU. Completed applications, including letters of recommendation, must be submitted by the following dates: fall semester deadline - no later than June 1st; spring semester deadline - no later than October 1st. Students are encouraged to submit scholarship applications as soon as they are admitted to TTU. An application cannot be reviewed until the applicant is admitted to the university. Isaac and Amanda Bohanon IMPACT Endowed Scholarship

Any current or prospective student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Isaac and Amanda Bohanon IMPACT Scholarship:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Must be a Tennessee resident and a graduate from a high school within Putnam county, TN.
  • Preference will be given to African American students.
  • Preference will be given based on participation and leadership in extracurricular activities and testaments of moral character.
  • Applicants must submit:

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Jasper and Nora Cromwell Memorial Scholarship Endowment:

  • Must be an entering freshman from Sunbright High School in Sunbright, Tennessee;
  • Must have a minimum 3.00 high school GPA;
  • Must be a full-time student with financial need.
If no entering freshman meets the criteria for the scholarship, the scholarship may be renewed for the existing recipient.

Jerry and Betty Williams Rose Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a student enrolled in the School of Agriculture.
  • Preference shall be given to a student who is serving, or has served, as a state officer in the FFA organization. If no student with service as a state officer shall be available, preference shall be given to a student selected as state star farmer or agribusinessman, national FFA officer, state or national public speaking winner or other national award winner such as recipient of the American FFA Degree, or on the basis of local FFA chapter achievement.
  • Preference shall be given to a student electing to major in agribusiness management or agricultural education.
  • Preference shall be given on the basis of a superior academic record including college and high school grades, academic rigor of the course of study pursued and college entrance examination scores.
  • Preference shall be given on the basis of the overall leadership record.
  • Preference shall be given to natives of one of the following Upper Cumberland Counties: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, and White.
  • Preference shall be given on the basis of financial need.
  • In order to continue to receive the scholarship, the student must remain in good standing with the University, majoring in agriculture, with a cumulative GPA of no less than 3.0 on a 4.0 scale. Should any student fail to maintain such GPA for two consecutive academic terms, the scholarship shall be forfeited.

Jewell Nolen Endowed Music Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an entering freshman or a currently enrolled student majoring in music.

An individual’s outstanding performance and/or promise in the field of music shall be primary criteria in selecting the recipient. However, total achievement in other subjects shall be of an acceptable level. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);
  • Must have a minimum high school average of “B”, a community college minimum GPA of 3.50 or a minimum TTU GPA of 3.20 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
  • Financial need will only be considered when deciding between otherwise equal candidates.

  • Must have a minimum high school average of "B", a community college minimum GPA of 3.50 or a minimum TTU GPA of 3.20 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or though other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;

Jimmy Bedford Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a full-time student enrolled for 12 or more hours;
  • Must have a minimum high school average of 'B';
  • If transferring into Tech, must have a GPA of 3.00 or higher.
  • First preference should go to students from Moore County, Tennessee.
  • If no acceptable student is from Moore County, Tennessee, then the scholarship can be awarded to a student from the region of Middle Tennessee.
  • The scholarship may be renewed as long as the student maintains a 2.50 GPA.
  • The recipient should possess a similar character to Mr. Bedford's in that he or she has shown that he/she has the intestinal fortitude to give back to the community, environment, and the many charities that help make this country stronger and a better place to live.



Joan Barber Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a current or prospective full-time student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a new freshman with a minimum GPA of 3.3, including all high school courses, or a transfer student with a minimum GPA of 2.75 and at least two years remaining before graduation, or a current holder of the Barber Scholarship who qualifies for renewal;
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.30, including all high school and college level courses;
  • Must major in English (literature curriculum) with an emphasis on British, as opposed to American, literature and culture.
  • Must be working toward a B.A. or M.A. in English
  • This scholarship may be renewed for a second year only, provided the recipient meets the GPA, major, and emphasis requirements stated above.



Joe and Anne Eaton Engineering Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be an entering freshman or transfer student in good standing in the College of Engineering;
  • Must be a natural born citizen of the USA;
  • May be a student in any engineering major;
  • Must have a minimum score of 23 on the Math section and Composite ACT or equivalent minimum SAT of 1130;
  • Must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.35 if an entering freshman;
  • Must have a minimum college GPA of 2.50 if a transfer student.
  • This scholarship is renewable provided the recipient maintains good academic standing as determined by the scholarship committee in the College of Engineering.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a minimum 2.35 GPA.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 
  • Must be a current or prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must major in Education, physical or biological sciences (Biology, Wildlife & Fisheries Science, Chemistry, Pre-Professional Health Sciences, Earth Science, or Physics) or Engineering;
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 3.20. 
  • Preference will be given to a student who displays financial need. 
  • If two applying students are otherwise equal, the one with the greater need should be deemed the recipient. 
The existing recipient may continue to reapply to be reviewed with other applicants.


John E. Mayfield Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must have a GPA of 2.00 [C] or higher;
  • Must be a graduate of a high school in Cheatham County;
  • Must have financial need.

Continuation of the scholarship beyond one (1) year will be determined by the Scholarship Office based on academic performance.

Johns Family Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must have completed the junior and senior year of high school in Van Buren County;
  • Must demonstrate financial need;
  • As a freshman scholarship, the student must have a high school of GPA of 2.75 or higher, present high school activities and volunteer work on the application, submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words with application. Essay must address the following topic: Explain your academic objective and career goals.
  • As a collegiate scholarship, the student must have a college GPA of 2.75 or higher at the end of the academic year to receive or maintain the scholarship, submit an essay of no more than 1,000 words with application. Essay must address the following questions: From your studies this year, what was the most interesting class? Can you see use for this learned information in a career?
  • Preference should be given to students majoring in Agriculture and Human Ecology. However, should no qualified applicants within either of the majors be found, then the scholarship(s) may be given to any current or former Van Buren County High School student(s) meeting all of the above criteria.



Joseph Bedford Hix PreMed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a high school student from either Jackson or Putnam County or a currently enrolled TTU student.
  • Preference will be given to students who declare a major in pre-medical subjects.

Julie G. Brown Memorial Endowed Computer Science Scholarship

Any Computer Science student or faculty member who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive this award:

  • Computer Science Department student projects, organizations and faculty must submit a written proposal (1-4 pages maximum) to the Computer Science Department External Advisory Board for approval.
  • Student projects and organizations
    1. The project proposal must be in line with the concentration areas of the Computer Science Department.
    2. If the proposal is to attend a conference, preference is for those students to present a poster, compete in a competition, or give a presentation.
    3. Any student receiving this benefit must be in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
    4. Preference will be given to students who are members of a recognized University student organization.
  • Faculty members
    1. Must be a full-time employee of Tennessee Tech University College of Engineering's Computer Science Department.
    2. The proposal must be for the faculty member's research purposes, such as but not limited to travel, supplies, etc.
    3. Preference will be given to faculty members who have directly involved students in their research activities, such as but not limited to, general student support, travel, supplies, etc.
  • A final implementation report must be submitted to the Computer Science Department External Advisory Board listing realized outcomes of the project.



Kay G. Ballew Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • must be a Technical Communications major;
  • must be an incoming freshman with an outstanding high school record or a sophomore junior, a senior with a minimum 2.50 cumulative GPA;
  • must demonstrate strong leadership skills and a sincere commitment to community service.
  • Preference shall be given to those involved in print media such as yearbook, newspaper, magazine, or anthology.



Koltowich Endowed Engineering Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a freshman female majoring within the College of Engineering;
  • Must be pursuing an accredited undergraduate or graduate degree.
  • Previous recipients of the Koltowich Engineering Scholarship will be given preference in succeeding years.
  • Recipients must maintain a GPA of 3.0 or above beginning their junior year to be eligible.
  • The scholarship is renewable, but must be applied for annually.



L. W. and Mildred Legge Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);
  • Must have a minimum high school average of “B”, a community college minimum GPA of 3.50 or a minimum TTU GPA of 3.20 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
  • Financial need will only be considered when deciding between otherwise equal candidates.
  • Preference shall be given to finance majors.

Lauren Knieling Memorial Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective student who is in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a graduate of Cookeville High School;
  • Must be involved in his/her church and youth group activity;
  • Must have demonstrated a charitable side of community involvement by participating/volunteering with local organizations.
  • Financial need will be considered but is not mandatory. This scholarship will not be awarded to a student who has been awarded sufficient funding to cover the cost of tuition, room and board, and books.
The scholarship is not renewable.

Lawrence W. Hester and Jean Whitson Hester Memorial Award

As a component of the Lawrence W. Hester and Jean Whitson Hester Memorial Endowment, the top graduating senior each year in the School of Nursing will be awarded  with a scholarship in the amount of $1,000 and a plaque reading "Lawrence W. Hester and Jean Whitson Hester Memorial Award ."


Lawrence W. Hester and Jean Whitson Hester Memorial Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Recipients must be prospective or current nursing students in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Full scholarships will be provided to cover all fees, tuition, books, lodging, and meals each academic year to four incoming first-year students in the nursing program.
  • Selection of the recipients is to be made based on academic record, ACT scores, extra-curricular activities, and financial need.
  • Scholarships are renewable for each year the recipient continues in the nursing program, remains in good standing, and maintains a 3.0 on a 4.0 scale grade point average.
  • Recipients must be of good character, residents of the State of Tennessee for a minimum of six months, and citizens of the United States of America.

Leonard and Gladys Crawford Memorial Scholarship for Cheerleading

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;

  • Must apply and qualify for financial aid.
  • Two scholarships will be given annually, one for a Tennessee Tech Cheerleader and one for a student in the College of Arts & Sciences with preference given to a student majoring in the Chemistry department.



Leonard and Gladys Crawford Memorial Scholarship for Chemistry

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must have a minimum of a 2.80 GPA,
  • Must apply and qualify for financial aid.
  • Two scholarships will be given annually, one for a Tennessee Tech Cheerleader and one for a student in the College of Arts & Sciences with preference given to a student majoring in the Chemistry department.



Leonard Dunavin Mathematics Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be an incoming freshman; must be from one of the Upper Cumberland Area; must be majoring in mathematics.


Leroy and Peggy Mackie Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);
  • Must have a minimum high school average of “B”, a community college minimum GPA of 3.50 or a minimum TTU GPA of 3.20 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
  • Financial need will only be considered when deciding between otherwise equal candidates;
  • There should be a clear objective toward a career in Management Information Systems (Decision Sciences) and business-related professions that involve technological applications.
  • Preference will be given to those students from the following Tennessee counties in the following order of preference: Morgan, Cumberland, and White.

Little-Evans Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies
  • Must be enrolled in the band program housed in the Department of Music and Art
  • Must have demonstrated successful academic performance, extracurricular participation, and financial need
  • Preference shall be given to majorettes and/or to members of Phi Mu Fraternity and/or Phi Delta Theta Fraternity when possible

In the event that there are no qualified candidates from these organizations, the scholarship may be awarded to any qualified Tennessee resident. A student who has held the Little-Evans Scholarship in a previous year shall have preference in the selection procedures in subsequent years.

Lonnie Glasscock, Sr. Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a full-time geology major (enrolled for 12 or more credit hours each semester);
  • Should be from one of the small towns in the Middle Tennessee area;
  • Should have an aptitude for college work, not necessarily an “A” average.
  • If the recipient fails to maintain full-time status, scholarship will be revoked.
  • This scholarship is a one-year, non-renewable scholarship.
  • Previous Glasscock Scholarship recipients are not eligible for this scholarship.

Lowell Smith Memorial Scholarship

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Lowell Smith Memorial Scholarship:
  • Must be an incoming freshman in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Must be a graduate of Cookeville High School.
  • Must be majoring in the School of Nursing or the College of Business. 
  • This scholarship is not renewable. 



Luke and Pauline Medley Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a regularly admitted or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Must be an entering freshman
  • Must have and maintain a minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Must be a graduate from a high school in Putnam County
  • Must apply and qualify for financial aid
  • Must major in any academic field available at TTU except Health and Physical Education (while this scholarship does not preclude athletics, the family has made significant contributions to athletics over the years and wishes to focus this scholarship on other academic areas).
The scholarship is for one year only.


Luther and Lora Maye Smith Memorial Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • First priority will be given to a student enrolled in the School of Agriculture from Pickett or Scott County, TN.
  • Second priority shall be given to a student majoring in Elementary Education from Pickett or Scott County, TN.
  • If there are not qualified applicants from Pickett or Scott County, TN, the next priority shall be given to a student enrolled in the School of Agriculture from any of the following Tennessee counties: Overton, Fentress, Morgan, Cumberland, Bledsoe, Sequatchie, Marion, Campbell, Roane, Rhea, Meigs, Claiborne, Union, Loudon, McMinn, Bradley, Hancock, Grainger, Blount, Monroe, Polk, Hawkins, Hamblen, Jefferson, Sevier, Sullivan, Washington, Greene, Cocke, Carter, and Unicoi.
  • Next priority shall be given to students enrolled in Elementary Education from any of the counties mentioned above.
  • In the event there are not qualified applicants majoring in Agriculture or Elementary Education from an East TN county as previously defined, then the scholarship is not to be awarded until a qualified candidate is available.
  • Must be an incoming freshman, but the scholarship may be renewed to this recipient for a maximum of four years if the recipient maintains a minimum GPA of 2.7.
  • Must demonstrate financial need.



Major Michael Shipley Scholarship Fund

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student.
  • Selection will be based on financial need and academic performance.
  • Preference will be given to students from Tennessee.
  • Preference shall be given to students from the following Upper Cumberland counties: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, and White.

Malcolm P. Quillen Memorial Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must have achieved and continue to maintain a minimum 3.00 GPA on a 4.00 scale;
  • Must be pursuing a course of study within the College of Business Administration;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
  • Priority shall be given to student(s) from Maury or Putnam County.
  • If no qualified student from either Maury or Putnam County is available, the award will be made to any student meeting all other criteria.
  • Previous recipients are encouraged to reapply annually for consideration.

Martin and Lorraine Peters Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current full-time student (enrolled for 12 hours or more);
  • Must be a freshman in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be pursuing a degree in the field of human ecology;
  • Must be a graduate of a public, non-sectarian secondary school located in the state of Tennessee;
  • Must have achieved an overall minimum GPA of “B;”
  • Must be a resident of Tennessee at the time of matriculation.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be an entering freshman or transfer student; must apply for admission to TTU;

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);
  • Must have a minimum high school average of “B”, a community college minimum GPA of 3.50 or a minimum TTU GPA of 3.20 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
  • Financial need will only be considered when deciding between otherwise equal candidates.

Masoud H. Masoud Mechanical Engineering Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be enrolled as a full-time (enrolled for 12 hours or more) student in good standing with the University; must demonstrate good character; must be a mechanical engineering major; must be an international student; must have the best academic record within the class or category, provided no other significant scholarships have been received for the year. No specific GPA is required to receive the scholarship. Other factors such as financial need, expressed interest, and percentage of work done at TTU may be taken into consideration.


Maude E. Reist Memorial Endowed Scholarship (75 Service Hours)

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Major must be declared;
  • Recipient may receive this scholarship for a maximum of two semesters as long as he/she meets the criteria for eligibility;
  • Must maintain full-time status and carry a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester, excluding any audit courses;
  • Must have an ACT composite score of 19 or higher or an SAT composite score of 990 or higher;
  • Must have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA for any college work and must achieve at least a 3.00 in the first semester of this scholarship in order to receive payment for a second semester.
  • Must provide 75 hours of service to TTU per semester, total. Failure to complete the hours will be dealt with in accordance with university probation policy for UAS and other university scholarships.
  • Preference among qualified candidates will be given based on financial need.
  • This scholarship is not available while the recipient is on co-op.
Note: If the recipient already has a University Academic Service obligation through another scholarship or grant, the hours served will count toward both awards (ex. A recipient required to complete 75 hours for a High Flyers would only need to complete 75 actual total hours to satisfy both scholarships).


McDole Family Endowed Scholarship in Memory of Brendon Shane McDole

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must pursue a degree in engineering;
  • Must be a graduate from one of the high schools in the following Upper Cumberland counties: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, White.
  • Preference shall be given to graduates of White County High School.
  • Financial need may be a consideration.
  • This scholarship will initially be awarded to an entering freshman and may be retained for three years if the recipient continues to maintain eligibility according to the stated criteria.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be pursuing a bachelor of science degree in the area of technical communication as defined by the Department of English in consultation with the Dean of Arts & Sciences;
  • Must, if either an entering freshman or transfer student, have achieved at least a 3.00 GPA;
  • Must maintain at least a 2.50 GPA at TTU.
The award will be made to te most financially needy student in the event the applicants are otherwise equally qualified.


McSpadden-McNew School of Nursing Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student of Tennessee Technological University in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be enrolled in the School of Nursing.
  • Priority for awarding the scholarship shall be in accordance with the following:
    • First priority shall be for students from Roane County;
    • Second priority shall be for students from McMinn County;
    • Third priority shall be for students from Putnam County if there are no qualified candidates from either Roane or McMinn counties;
    • Any qualified student from within the State of Tennessee may be considered provided there are no qualified candidates from the above mentioned counties.
  • Financial need shall be considered, but is secondary to the above priorities. The scholarship will be awarded to the student with the greatest financial need if candidates are otherwise equally qualified.



Metcom Inc. Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;

Mildred Frankie Mills Memorial Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a Tennessee resident, preferably residing eastward of Nashville;
  • The student shall be a graduate from a Tennessee high school, preferably from a county eastward of Davidson County;
  • Student must be a US citizen;
  • Student must have high financial need as determined by TTU's Office of Financial Aid;
  • Student must be morally upstanding as demonstrated by regular attendance at a nationally recognized religious organization for at least 2 years prior to receipt of scholarship (continuation of attendance is not required after receipt of scholarship);
  • A recommendation letter from the religious institution is required as part of application;
  • Must have a 27 or higher composite ACT score with math and science scores of 30 or higher;
  • Recipient must have no known felonies;
  • Student must be enrolled full time (standard co-op and internships are exceptions - the scholarship is not to be paid during these periods);
  • Student must declare a major in engineering and courses taken be representative of a student majoring in engineering;
  • May be renewed throughout undergraduate degree as long as degree is obtained within 5 years;
  • May be renewed if student pursues an advanced degree;
  • Preference will be given to students who work during normal university sessions and/or during school breaks;
  • Preference will be given to veterans or children of veterans, with special consideration given to veterans disabled during their military service and/or their children;
  • The student must earn at least a 2.9 GPA during their first semester at TTU and at the end of the 4th semester must have a 3.2 GPA. Not meeting this GPA requirement will result in the permanent loss of the scholarship.

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Mildred Roark Buie and Winona Roark Beal Scholarship Endowment:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies

Odom Family Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an entering freshman;
  • Must qualify for financial need,

  • Must be a full-time student majoring in any academic field;
  • Must maintain an overall minimum GPA of 2.5 each year in order to maintain the scholarship. Failure to achieve this will result in loss of the scholarship.
  • Interested students must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (www.fafsa.ed.gov) each year to be considered.
This scholarship may be renewable for up to four years as long as sufficient funds are available.


Oliver J. Hubbard Memorial Poultry Science Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be in the top 10% of poultry science undergraduate students.
  • The recipient will be selected based on financial need, scholastic ability, and qualifications set forth by the scholarship committee.



Ollie Jones Henson Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a female student;
  • Must have a minimum 3.00 GPA;
  • Must be majoring in Chemistry;
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. 
Preference is given to a student who graduated from high school in the Upper Cumberland Region of Tennessee.  Financial need is given priority.  Should no other eligible student apply, this scholarship may be renewable.


Paul Austin Memorial Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a major in the College of Arts & Sciences;
  • Must have a minimum composite ACT score of 28 and a minimum high school GPA of 3.50.

The scholarship is non-renewable.




Paul Isbell Endowed Scholarship

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive the Paul Isbell Endowed Scholarship:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a resident of the State of Tennessee;
  • May be an individual with an existing undergraduate degree seeking to further his/her education OR an adult learner 25 years or older, pursuing a bachelor's degree;
  • Must be a full or part time student enrolled in at least six hours;

Percell Engineering Endowed Scholarship

In order to be eligible for this scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be an incoming freshman or transfer student enrolled in the College of Engineering that has a minimum GPA of a 3.00 on a 4.00 scale;
  • Must have demonstrated financial need through the Financial Aid Office.
This scholarship may be retained for four years provided the recipient remains enrolled in Engineering and is in good standing with current institutional policies.


Perkins Scholarship for Jackson County Students

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Perkins Scholarship for Jackson County Students:
  • Must be a regularly admitted or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Must be a resident of Jackson County, Tennessee.
  • Must be pursuing a major in the College of Business, the College of Education, the College of Engineering, or the Whitson-Hester School of Nursing.
The scholarship may be renewed for up to four years.


Physics LM Scholarship

Porter and Ruby B. Hayes Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a United States citizen;
  • Must be or have been a resident of White County, TN or the part of DeKalb County, TN that lies to the east of Center Hill Lake. Currently this would be any address in the 38583 zip code.  If there are future changes/divisions to this zip code assignment for the geographic area, the geographic area is the controlling factor. 
  • Must be a graduate of an accredited public, private, charter, or home school institution within White or DeKalb County, TN. 
  • Must have a minimum GPA of 2.60 on a 4.00 scale. 
  • Must provide with each application an acceptable letter of reference from his/her religious leader attesting to the applicant's moral character. 

Preference will be given in the following order:  1)  A prior recipient who remains qualified and reapplies for scholarships, with a maximum of five scholarship awards to any one individual.  2)  A qualifying upperclassman meeting the above criteria.  3)  Financial need, though not a requirement to receive this scholarship, may be considered in making the final award.




President's Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be certified as a National Merit Finalist;
  • Must be an incoming freshman.
  • The scholarship is renewable, provided the student maintains a 3.0 cumulative grade point average. 
The President's Scholarship will be awarded in the amount of $3,500 per year and is not considered an Admissions scholarship. National Merit Finalists who list Tennessee Tech as their first choice institution with the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) will receive a $500 per year college-sponsored scholarship from NMSC in addition to the President's Scholarship. Finalists should receive instructions from NMSC on how to update their first-choice institution.

Project GRAD Scholarship

To be eligible for the scholarship the student must be a graduate of Fulton High School or Austin-East High School in Knoxville, Tennessee. This $1,000 scholarship, in partnership with Project GRAD Knoxville, is given to students who attend Tennessee Technological University. Putnam County Farm Bureau Agriculture Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies and majoring in Agriculture.
  • Preference is given to a member, or child of a member, of the Putnam County Farm Bureau.
  • Must be a graduate of a Putnam County High School.
  • Character, as reflected through participation in extracurriculuar activities or community organizations, financial need and academic performance shall be considered.
  • First preference will be given to a student entering as a frreshman.
  • In the event no freshmen are qualified, preference will be given to a sophomore, junior or senior in that order.

This scholarship is renewable for up to four years.




Putnam County Farm Bureau Human Ecology Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies and majoring in Human Ecology.
  • Preference is given to a member, or child of a member, of the Putnam County Farm Bureau.
  • Must be a graduate of a Putnam County High School.
  • Character, as reflected through participation in extracurriculuar activities or community organizations, financial need and academic performance shall be considered.
  • First preference will be given to a student entering as a frreshman.
  • In the event no freshmen are qualified, preference will be given to a sophomore, junior or senior in that order.
This scholarship is renewable for up to four years.


Quality of Life Endowed Scholarship

To be considered for this scholarship, a student must meet the following requirements:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies
  • Must be enrolled as a nursing major
  • First preference to an applicant who expresses interest in a career engaged in the training, education, or research surrounding palliative care, hospice care, or nursing care focused on quality of life for serious and terminally ill patients.
  • Second preference to an applicant currently working for or with a healthcare provider focused on quality of life for seriously and terminally ill patients.
  • The scholarship is renwable.



Quill Evan Cope Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must qualify for financial aid;
  • Must be a graduate of White County High School and major in either Agriculture or Education.



R. Doyle Gaines Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student (excluding School of Nursing applicants or students) in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a resident of the State of Tennessee;
  • May be an individual with an existing degree seeking to further his/her education OR an adult learner, 25 years or older, pursuing a bachelor's degree;
  • Must be a full or part-time student enrolled in at least six hours;
  • Must have applied for financial aid from TTU and complete the Scholarship Application;
  • Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 each semester in order to continue to receive the scholarship.



R. Winston Morris Brass Instrumental Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have demonstrated good citizenship. 
  • Financial need is not a requirement.

The scholarship is presented through audition procedures to a high school senior who applies and is admitted to TTU as a music education major with a tuba/euphonium performance emphasis. In the event that a tuba/euphonium recipient does not qualify, the scholarship may be awarded to another brass student.

Ray and Linda Copenhaver McCay Endowed Scholarship

This scholarship recipient will be determined via an essay contest given by Warren County High School Counselors. To apply for the scholarship students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must fill out an application and write an essay with a minimum of 350 words and a maximum of 500 words detailing what they hope to accomplish with their Tennessee Technological University degree to make Warren County a great place to live and work.
  • Must be an incoming freshman graduating from Warren County High School in McMinnville, TN;
  • Must be declared the winning recipient from all essay entries received by Warren County High School Counselors;
  • Must be a prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.

Rector/Henry Family Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be an entering freshman who desires to major in accounting;
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);

  • Financial need will only be considered when deciding between otherwise equal candidates.
  • Preference shall be given to Cookeville High School graduates.
  • In the event no Cookeville High School graduate qualifies, the scholarship may be awarded to a graduate from any Putnam County high school.
  • In the event no qualified candidates exists in Putnam County, the recipient may be a graduate from one of the following Upper Cumberland Counties: Cannon Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon Overton, Pickett, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, or White.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have declared a major within the College of Engineering.
  • The emphasis of this scholarship is to encourage enrollment at TTU and/or to influence retention/timely graduation. 
  • Financial need may be considered.
This scholarship is not automatically renewed. Application required and reviewed yearly for awarding.


Residence Hall Award - Financial Aid

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be an incoming student;
  • Must reside in the residence hall (including Tech Village) during the award period.
  • Must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (www.fafsa.ed.gov) each year to be considered, even though need may not be a factor in the awarding process.
A student may only receive one Residence Hall grant or award from Tennessee Tech in a given semester.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an incoming or currently enrolled student;
  • Must reside in the University housing (a residence hall or Tech Village) during the award period;
  • Must be enrolled in the Army ROTC Program at Tennessee Tech;
  • Must demonstrate an interest in the Army ROTC program and the National Guard Reserves.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

Richard P. Savage, Sr. Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be an undergraduate majoring in mathematics and have at least a 3.00 cumulative GPA, or, if an entering freshman, have had a "B" (3.00) average in high school.
Recipients who maintain the required GPA are eligible to compete with other candidates to have the scholarship renewed.


Robert F. Bode Memorial Scholarship in English

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be either an incoming freshman or rising sophomore English major who demonstrates academic excellence and promise based on her/his grade point average, which must be a minimum 3.00.
Preference shall be given to the applicant who best demonstrates his/her ability to contribute to the cultural, religious, racial, ethnic, and/or sexual diversity of the student body through an essay to be judged by a committee of faculty members in English.

This scholarship may be renewed on a yearly basis at the discretion of the department chair and the scholarship committee.
The maximum renewal period of an incoming freshman is eight (8) semesters; six (6) semesters is the maximum renewal period for a rising sophomore.


Robert Fredrick Porter Memorial Engineering Scholarship

To be considered for this scholarship, a student must meet the following criteria: 

  • Must be a prospective or current TTU College of Engineering student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be, or have been, a graduating senior at Creek Wood High School, Charlotte, Tennessee.
  • If no eligible student from CWHS is available, the scholarship may be awarded to a student from any high school within Dickson County.
  • Will be selected on the basis of academic achievement, community service, leadership and need as determined by a three person Selection committee.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have four recommendations, one from each of the following: minister, principal, counselor, and teacher (if you are selected as a finalist for this scholarship, the letters will be requested at that time; you do not need to submit them when you apply for scholarships);
  • Must be a Tennessee resident and a U.S. citizen;
  • Must be a declared major in the College of Education;
  • Must be a beginning freshman;
  • Must demonstrate financial need.

The scholarship is awarded for a two-year period, contingent upon the recipient maintaining a 2.5 GPA.




Roy and Pauline King Memorial Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must attend Tennessee Technological University;
  • Must be a graduate of Monterey High School;
  • Must have a financial need.
  • There is no restriction upon the major chosen by the recipient.
  • The recipient may continue to receive the scholarship for a period of three (3) years as long as a GPA of 3.0 is maintained.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a resident of one of the following Upper Cumberland counties: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren or White;
  • Must be a music student at TTU;
  • Must exhibit outstanding performance and ability in the field of music.

Total achievement in other subjects should also be of an acceptable level. If no student from the Upper Cumberland area qualifies, the scholarship may be awarded to the most outstanding music student with the greatest financial need. To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Shanks-Moran Scholarship Endowment:
  • Must be a regularly admitted or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Must be an undergraduate student in the College of Arts & Sciences who is pursuing major studies in GeoSciences.
  • Award preference will be given to student(s) whose residence is in Clinton, Cumberland, McCreary, Whitley or Wayne Counties in the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  If no such student meets this residence criterion, then the scholarship will be awarded to that student who otherwise meets the criteria, regardless of residence.

SouthEast Bank Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must be a Tennessee resident; must demonstrate financial need through the FAFSA, must have a 23 ACT or a 3.25 GPA, must be enrolled full time in a degree program. The scholarship is renewable for up to 4 years as long as the student maintains full time enrollment with at least a 2.50 GPA and remains in good standing with the university. Preference will be given to College of Business students majoring in Finance or Accounting. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated leadership and participated in community service.




Southern Middle Tennessee Alumni Chapter Endowed Scholarship

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Southern Middle Tennessee Alumni Chapter Scholarship Endowment:

  • Must be a regularly admitted or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Must be a graduate from a high school in Maury, Giles, Hickman, Lawrence, Lewis, Perry, Williamson, or Marshall Counties.
  • The scholarship is not renewable.

Steve and Cora Mills Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a Tennessee resident, preferably residing eastward of Nashville;
  • The student shall be a graduate from a Tennessee high school, preferably from a county eastward of Davidson County;
  • Student must be a US citizen;
  • A single student is to be funded upon entering the University until completion of final degree.
  • This scholarship shall only be awarded to students just begininning at the university. This would traditionally be a freshman but may also include students transferring from another universtiy, junior college or similar institution.
  • This scholarship may not initially be awarded to a student holding a traditional four-year degree (BS).
  • The scholarship award will be determined by the available funds generated by the endowment annually.
  • The student must have a high financial need as determined by TTU's Office of Financial Aid.
  • The student will not receive more from the scholarship award process than the amount required to attend the University.
  • Total combined support from scholarships, grants, deferred payment and interest loans, as well as student wages from employment, shuold be considered. 
  • Student must be morally upstanding as demonstrated by regular attendance at a nationally recognized religious organization for at least 2 years prior to receipt of scholarship (continuation of attendance is not required after receipt of scholarship);
  • A recommendation letter from the religious institution is required as part of application;
  • Must have a 27 or higher composite ACT score with math and science scores of 30 or higher;
  • Recipient must have no known felonies;
  • Student must be enrolled full-time (standard co-op and internships are exceptions - the scholarship is not paid during these periods);
  • Student must declare a major in engineering and courses taken be representative of a student majoring in engineering;
  • Permanant loss of the scholarship occurs if the student changes majors outside of engineering.  
  • May be reviewed throughout undergraduate degree as long as degree is obtained within 5 years;
  • May be renewed if student pursues an advanced degree;
  • Student should have employment, either during normal university sessions and/or during school breaks;
  • Preference will be given to veterans or children of veterans, with special consideration given to veterans disabled during their military service and/or their children.
  • The student must earn at least a 2.9 GPA during their first semester at TTU and at the end of the 4th semester must have a 3.2 GPA. A 3.2 GPA is required thereafter until starting graduate schoool. Not meeting this GPA requirement will result in the permanent loss of the scholarship. 


The student receiving the scholarship shall receive annually the following statement:  "Steve and Cora Mills came from a very poor region of the state of Tennessee and from humble beginnings.  They learned the value of hard work, a good education, and the tremendous multiplier that God brings to gifts.  Through their hard work and sacrifice, this scholarship is made available to help you attend college and complete your degree.  May God bless your life with this gift."

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must have a minimum 3.00 high school GPA and plan to enter TTU during the fall semester immediately following high school graduation;
  • Must be planning to major in education.
  • Financial need may be considered, but is not a requirement for this award.

If funds are available, the scholarship is renewable for up to four years.




Tecumseh Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be an entering freshman or transfer student;
  • Must have attended high school in Gibson or Henry counties;
  • If a freshman, must have a minimum score of 23 on the Math section and Composite ACT, or equivalent SAT of 1130;
  • Must have a minimum high school GPA of 2.35 if an entering freshman;
  • If a transfer student, must have a minimum overall GPA of 3.00.
  • Financial need may be considered, but is not required.
  • Continuation of the scholarship for the second semester is contingent upon the student maintaining a 2.50 GPA.

Tennessee Farmers Co-op Annual Scholarship

Tennessee Farmers Cooperative will award up to a total of five scholarships per academic year, each scholarship not to exceed $2,500/yr or $1000/semester. Eighty percent of recipients shall be a sophomore, junior or senior. Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to be considered for a scholarship through the Tennessee Farmers Co-Op Annual Scholarship:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Must be majoring in Agriculture.
  • Must have a minimum of 2.5 GPA
  • Must be a member of a family that is a member of a local member cooperative that is part of the Tennessee Farmers Cooperative System.
  • At least 80% of the recipients shall be classified as a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior.
  • The scholarship is renewable for one additional year, although current recipients are required to re-apply for the scholarship through ScholarWeb.

Tennessee Louis Stokes Alliance for Minority Participation Grant

To be eligible for this stipend, students must meet the following criteria: 

  • Must be majoring in an engineering field, computer science, or engineering technology OR Science, technology, engineering, or mathematics (STEM) degree seeking program.
  • Must be a member of an underrepresented group as defined by the National Science Foundation. 
  • Must be eligible to and actually register for a full-time course load (12 hours) while majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, or Engineering Technology in the College of Engineering OR pursuing a STEM degree at Tennessee Tech during the entire semester the monies are distributed.
  • Commit to joining and maintain membership in at least one student organization affiliated with the College of Engineering or STEM-related major.
  • Attend Annual TLSAMP Research Conference and present research (if applicable).
  • Participate in and complete Center for Career Development office career readiness program.
  • Participate in College of Engineering TLSAMP related programming (Graduate workshops, research workshops, etc.)
This grant may be renewable.


Terry Rector Endowed Scholarship

Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be a resident of the State of Tennessee;
  • May be an individual with an existing undergraduate degree seeking to further his/her education OR an adult learner 25 years or older, pursuing a bachelor's degree;
  • Must be a full or part time student enrolled in at least six hours;
  • Must have applied for financial aid from TTU and completed the Undergraduate Application for Scholarships;
  • Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.50 each semester in order to continue to receive this scholarship.
  • The administering unit will consider financial need when selecting recipients.



The Chris W. Hinds Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Preference is given to a student who is a quadriplegic from a spinal injury.
  • If such a student is not available, the next preference is for a disabled military veteran.
  • If those two are not available, students in order of preference are: any veteran with financial need, any engineering student with financial need, or, finally, any student with financial need. 

Should no other qualified students apply, this scholarship is renewable.




The Graphic Packaging International, Inc. Future Leader Scholarship

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through The Graphic Packaging International, Inc. Future Leader Scholarship: 
  • Must be a regularly admitted or current student of Tennessee Technological University in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • Must have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Must be of a Sophomore, Junior, Senior status.
  • Must be majoring in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering; Electrical or Engineering Technology.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Preference will be given to students demonstrating a desire to work in a manufacturing environment, campus involvement (especially TAPPI student chapters) and community service.
  • Preference will be given to students who display the desire to work in a small town environment and those wishing to engage in "hands-on" engineering work.



Theodore R. and Bonnie R. Deur Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current lower-division nursing student or a current upper-division nursing student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.
  • First preference shall be given to students from Overton or Pickett Counties, Tennessee.
  • Second preference shall be given to students from one of the following Upper Cumberland counties: Cannon, Clay, Cumberland, DeKalb, Fentress, Jackson, Macon, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, White.
  • If no qualified applicants can be found from these areas, the scholarship will be open to all qualified students.
  • Preference shall be given to students who demonstrate financial need, although it is not required that students be qualified for federal or other governmental financial aid.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a full-time undergraduate student (enrolled for 12 or more hours);
  • Must have a minimum high school average of “B”, a community college minimum GPA of 3.00 or a minimum TTU GPA of 3.00 through at least 60 semester hours, with an acceptable ACT score;
  • Must have demonstrated leadership ability as a student or through other active involvement with groups, organizations, etc.;
  • Should demonstrate a clear objective toward a career in business and/or business-related professions.
  • Financial should be a primary consideration when selecting recipients.
  • Preference shall be given to applicants from Gallatin, Tennessee; Sumner County, Tennessee; Volunteer State Community College; or state of Tennessee students.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: 
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Sociology with a concentration in Criminal Justice;
  • Must have a minimum 3.00 GPA;
  • Must demonstrate financial need;
  • First preference will be for a student currently employed as a law enforcement officer.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

Vice President's Residential Life Grant

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be an incoming freshman Tennessee resident who just graduated from high school;
  • Preference will be given to students with at least a 22 ACT and a 3.50 high school GPA.

This one-time grant is applied to a student's on-campus housing fees. Students must be living in on-campus housing (including Tech Village) to receive this grant. Welch Bowling Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, the student must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be pursuing a course of study within the College of Business Administration;
  • Must be a full-time student;
  • Must have achieved and continue to maintain a minimum 3.00 GPA based on a 4.00 scale.
Priority shall be given to students based on need.

Priority shall be given to students from Putnam and surrounding counties (Upper Cumberland). If there are no qualified candidates from Putnam or surrounding counties, the scholarship may be awarded to any student meeting all other criteria. The scholarship will be awarded annually and previous winners are encouraged to reaply for consideration.


White County Breast Cancer Survivor Endowed Scholarship in Nursing

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria: Must be a prospective student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies; must be a graduating senior from White County High School who has declared nursing as a major; must have a minimum ACT of 22 and be ranked in the upper third of his/her graduating class.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

Wilbur Raatz Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be majoring within the College of Arts and Sciences and must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies.



William A. and Jean Elizabeth Birdwell Goodwin Endowed Scholarship

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the William A. and Jean Elizabeth Birdwell Goodwin Scholarship Endowment:
  • Must be an undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Civil Engineering in good standing in accordance with current institutional Policy with a grade point average of at least 2.50 (undergraduate) or 3.00 (graduate);
  • Must be participating in research and/or courses related to highway and/or bridge design and construction;

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the William H. Bonner Scholarship Endowment:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen. 
  • Must be a junior, senior, or graduate student. 
  • Must be majoring in a field of study within the College of Business.

William Hogue Memorial Rugby Team Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a regularly admitted or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies
  • Must be in financial need.
  • Preference will be first given to members of the Tennessee Tech Rugby Team. 
  • If there are no qualified applicants from the Rugby Team, preference will then be given to entering freshmen and to students whose need is to such an extent that she or he may be unable to enter, re-enter, or remain enrolled at the University because of financial hardship.

William Hogue PKA Endowed Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be in financial need.
  • First preference will be given to Pi Kappa Alpha (PKA) members (not pledges) with financial need.
  • Second preference will go to students whose need is such that she or he may be unable to enter, re-enter, or remain enrolled at Tennessee Technological University.
  • The awardee(s) must submit to the committee an essay on the "Importance of Personal Character" as a thank-you.
  • A previous awardee can be awarded this scholarship again.



William L. Harper Chemistry Scholarship

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be an entering freshman interested in a chemistry degree when initially receiving the scholarship;
  • Must maintain a minimum GPA of 2.5 and remain a chemistry major;
  • Must demonstrate financial need.
First preference shall be given to students graduating from Morgan County high schools. If there are no eligible candidates from Morgan County, the scholarship may be awarded to students from the following counties: Anderson, Cumberland, Fentress, Roane, and Scott. In the event there are no eligible students from the above counties, the scholarship may be awarded to students from the following Upper Cumberland counties: Cannon, Clay, Dekalb, Jackson, Macon, Overton, Pickett, Putnam, Smith, Van Buren, Warren, White.

High school academic performance will be considered when selecting an entering freshman. A freshman recipient may retain the scholarship for a maximum of (8) academic semesters provided he or she continues to meet criteria.

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be a prospective or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutional policies;
  • Must be either a part-time or full-time student in the Bachelor of Fine Arts program in the clay, fibers, glass, metals, or wood concentration.
  • The scholarships will be awarded based on juried talent and need, not academic grades.

Women and Minorities in Computing Endowed Scholarship for Business Information Technology

Any student who meets the following criteria will be eligible to receive a scholarship through the Women and Minorities in Computing Scholarship Endowment:
  • Must be a regularly admitted freshman or current student in good standing in accordance with current institutuinal policies
  • Must be a female student of any race, or a male student defined as minority by the University (i.e. black, Hispanic, American Indian, or Alaska native)
  • Must be majoring in Computer Science in the College of Engineering or Business Information Technology in the College of Business.
